Letting Go
Sometimes it’s simple. We know what we want and more importantly, we know what we don’t want. The realisation that the thing is not the thing we are searching for is the easy part. Accepting that we have made all of this effort towards something that we don’t actually want is harder. To see that we have exerted time, money, patience, and health towards something that actually never came to fruition. Just like the plant which desires to bloom but is never given the right environment, no matter how much we tamper with the soil, no matter how much we fertilise it, move it around in the house or garden, the thing simply will not flourish because the greater environment it is in, is not the right environment. Some plants are much easier to grow when the conditions are colder, some when its more humid, and some like it a lot darker or brighter than others. This plant knows what it wants. It knows that in order to show you the beauty it holds, it needs to be given the right resources in the right environment. This is its way of showing you its expectations. So to take a note from the plant. If it feels like you are always pushing, that you are exerting energy towards something that simply, wont, flourish… Perhaps it is that you are not yet where you are suppose to be. Perhaps there is something more suitable for you. Perhaps the environment is sustainable, yes. But slowly, slowly you will begin to dwindle, you cannot thrive on what is only sustainable. Especially if you keep trying to flourish. Using energy to try and produce something worth expressing. Doing this in the wrong environment is simply a waste of energy. Nothing will amount.
So look and see where you are putting your energy. Is it really worthwhile? Are you truly satisfied? Are you receiving as much as you put in? The flow of nature can only prevail when each is giving more than the last. This is abundance. When there is so much to give that it simply overflows. But for this to happen, there must be the right environment. You must be in the right place, at the right time, for you. So the first step is to answer those questions and to be honest about where you actually fit in this cycle of life. Not where you ‘want’ to be, or where you think you ‘should’ be, but where do you belong? Where are you called to? What keeps you up at night, yearning to be back where you felt most yourself?
Find yourself. Find happiness. Find abundance.
