The good life is a process, not a state of being.

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.
— Carl Rogers, 1967

Setting goals and constructing plans for the future can only get so far as to understand what you want to be doing by that time or what you want to have achieved by that time, but it is not going to provide answers to the questions we ask the abyss, ‘what am I doing?’; ‘why am I here?’; ‘what do I want?’. To find what you truly want is to understand that there is only an infinite now. There is only an everlasting experience, a journey, a direction. To be able to fully experience the moment, see it, smell it, taste it, enjoy it or not, but to fully experience the situation you have been afforded for now. Even in the moments where the emotions are heavy, where we cannot see the light; to be able to fully allow the experience to be what it is, and to fully embrace the moment, that is a good life.

The eternal now will awaken the Source. The Source is where all answers lie. Where all creativity begins and is the foundation for experiential understanding. The Source is the opposite of something, the nothingness before everything came into existence, pure potential. So then you begin to understand that every thing we create, every thing that comes to our consciousness has to have come from something beyond that. Unconsciousness. Pure no-thingness. That does not mean non-existence, we are evidence that this Source exists, our creation, our living, is the certainty that it exists. Because everything has an equal opposite, there must be an exact opposite to our living. The eternal now has an eternal never.

So where do you want to be living? Do you want to be experiencing this moment of less than a century, over a century if you’re lucky or do you want to be thinking about what you should be doing in the future, what you need to achieve tomorrow, this year, in five years and so on into the abyss?

One day you will no longer exist, one day you will have forgotten this moment. One day you will cease to be an expression of the Source and the Source will be express some other way without you.

How do you want the Source to be expressed through you?

This is your only direction. Your only goal should you wish to set one.

Be your own best creation.
